ABOUT

Julia “Speedy” Spieszny was born in Michigan in the United States to Polish parents, where she grew up. “Speedy” is the Polish to English translation of her surname. She moved to Florida in 2025 to pursue her dreams. 

Julia has been in love with making art ever since she was a little girl. She started drawing in grade school, and she and others noticed she was really good at it. Julia graduated from Oakland Community College in Michigan with an Associate’s degree in Graphic Design but decided to take the route of fine art. 

Throughout her childhood she experimented with all kinds of mediums and created all kinds of projects but mostly stuck to pencil drawing and acrylic painting. To this day, pencil/charcoal, colored pencil, and acrylic paint are her preferred materials. 

As a highly sensitive soul who has a hard time expressing herself, art has always been the perfect gateway for Julia. As a child she was late to develop her speech but thankfully art helps her communicate. She loves to encourage others to express themselves and use art as an outlet.
